The Auris finally makes its Debut

Once again im letting the side down by not getting to this, but lots of things have happened of late, i moved to East London, so all been a bit of a rush

We debuted the new car in Barkley East in August, was a baptism of fire with the new steed, but we brought her home in 2nd in class, albeit 6min off the pace due to all kinds of problems

We were quite satisfied to get to the end and ecstatic with the potential of the car.

It was off to Cape Town 2 weeks ago for the Swartland Rally where we swept all 2 wheel drive cars aside to claim the first class win for an Auris in Africa, we did this by beating the bigger engined A7 cars and finishing a fine 10th overall.

The final rally in the Sasol South African Rally championship is the Toyota Dealer Rally on the 17th and 18th of October in Gauteng, this will be our home event, and we intend bringing the silverware home once again now that the car has shown its potential.

The 2008 Season

Hi all, apologies for not updating this site for a year now, work work work!

For the rest of the year i will attempt to keep this thing up to date and keep you all informed of the progress of my new team.

At the beginning of 2008 i joined Mohammed Moosa in his Team Total evolution setup to take part in the 2008 Sasol South African National Rally championships, were 5 rallies into the 8 round series, we have had alot of ups and downs so far this season.

We began the year in a Toyota Corolla , an interim car while our brand new state of the art Toyota Auris is being built, this has taken alot longer than anticipated and the older car has had some reliability issues, this we have had a number of DNF's

So far our results for 2008:

Hitachi Tour Natal : 2nd

Toyota Cape Rally : DNF - Broken gearbox

Sasol Rally : 1st

Total Rally : DNF - Broken gearbox

VW Rally: DNF - Blown motor

The next round is the Osram rally, or better know as the Border Mountain trial, the Auris will debut here and we expect a tough rally with a new car. I will keep you up to date after the event.
